TRAMONTANE was built by the CATANA shipyard in 2008. Number 2 of a series of six CATANA 65s.
The first owner sailed for a little over a year with TRAMONTANE, in the Mediterranean, then in the Caribbean.
TRAMONTANE was taken over by the CATANA shipyard following the sale of a new CATANA 65 to its former owner.
The yard made a slight refit of TRAMONTANE and used it for the Barcelona boat show in 2009. The boat was then taken out of the water and remained ashore until 2014, the year of its complete refit (engines, generator, rigging, sails, dinghy, valves, fittings, etc) before its sale to the current owner.
In 2021, a 2nd refit was done (replacement of the front beam, extension of the transoms, removal of the skegs, painting of the mast, etc.).
TRAMONTANE is an extremely well-built boat (bottom of the hulls in TWARON ; planking in sandwich, roof, bulkhead and carbon beam ; all of the interior fittings in sandwich).
It is a high-performance boat (carbon mast, carbon bowsprit, carbon dynema sails, weight centering, high nacelle, thin hulls) and extremely comfortable (heating, air conditioning, watermaker, generator).
Easily maneuverable by one man!
